About Complexionutrition

An editorial platform dedicated to exploring the science of skin health through nutrition, ingredients, and informed choices about skincare.

Our Story

Complexionutrition was founded on a simple observation: the conversation around skin health was fragmented. Dermatologists spoke about active ingredients, nutritionists discussed foods and vitamins, and cosmetic scientists detailed molecular mechanisms—but these conversations rarely intersected. We believed readers deserved a comprehensive resource that bridged these disciplines.

From our base in Finland, we set out to create an editorial platform that explores the genuine science behind skin nutrition. We research peer-reviewed studies on retinol efficacy, hyaluronic acid hydration, peptide function, antioxidants in cosmetics, and the role of vitamins in skin protection. Our team synthesizes this knowledge into clear, evidence-based articles that help readers understand what actually works and why.

Today, we continue this mission without compromise. Every article reflects our commitment to accuracy, transparency, and respect for our readers' intelligence. We do not promote products. We educate.

Our Mission & Values

Our Mission

To inform readers about the genuine science of skin nutrition, cosmetic ingredients, and skincare efficacy through rigorous research and clear communication.

Accuracy First

💡 Did you know?

Every claim is traced to peer-reviewed sources. We cite studies, disclose limitations, and correct errors publicly. No clickbait, no exaggeration.

Editorial Independence

We do not sell products, accept sponsorships from ingredient suppliers, or endorse specific brands. Our loyalty is to our readers.

Transparency

We explain our methods, acknowledge nuance, and present competing perspectives where evidence is mixed. Science is rarely simple, and we honor that complexity.

Accessibility

Complex science should be understandable. We break down ingredient mechanisms, explain study design, and avoid jargon without sacrificing precision.

What Our Readers Say

5.0/5

"I've been reading Complexionutrition for over a year, and it completely changed how I approach skincare. Instead of chasing ingredients based on social media hype, I now understand what retinol actually does, why hyaluronic acid matters for hydration, and which antioxidants have real evidence behind them. Finally, a resource that respects my intelligence."

5.0/5

"The guides on foods good for skin and how nutrients support skin health have been invaluable. I appreciate how they distinguish between what's proven and what's still being researched. An article on protection against photoaging helped me make better choices about sun care and antioxidants.
